I got into a fork during yesterday/today. I have two servers that both forked at somewhat different time, so could there be a problem in the network?

Edit: Forgot to mention, that I restored the other server's database from a backup in September, but it forked again.

I've been having trouble forking a long long time now. Can't get through a day without derailing. And now it seems like only the Fitcoin account is responsible for maintaining the blockchain.

If Fitcoin is the keeper of the network, then maybe it is this account that starts a fork that then derails the rest of us.  Not cool...

There are several long streaks of blocks forged by individual forgers, one at a time. Now the distribution seems more random. Everything ok? Svante, Dirk?

However, there seems to be only 9 forgers at the moment, there is still room for volunteers...

How are our forks doing? Any nice ones around lately  :P? (been receiving some reports of forking, but stuff looks quite ok at https://lompsa.com/#/activity/fim/forgers/latest )

I think FIMKers' Pool™ is still forging a lot less than it should considering the effective balance. I personally have had some forks, but have been able to resolve them manually by restarting the server and/or restoring from a recent backup.

FIMKers' Pool can't get throuog a single day without a fork... Quite discouraging.

Would the network be more stable, if we had more individual forgers? Just a thought...

Yeah, I can't stay in the right chain. I fork several times a day. I also can't exactly figure out to get back on the right one either.

We have only 9 forgers. The network can't survive with only a few forgers. We need more people. I am thinking about closing my pool in the hope that people will forge and stabilize the network. If I do, I will give plenty of notice.

I feel like FIMK is dying...

Those feelings are greatly exaggerated and premature etc. ;)

FWIK the network should be fine with just a single forger.

Doesn't sound quite distributed to me. :-o

Edit: Maybe a single forger is ok, but what if there are two forgers, who for some reason are disconnected from each other (but are connected to Internet or at least think they are)? Then a user manages to spend his/her entire balance via both forgers and buy two brand new Tesla Model S's. Who decides which one of the car dealers will have to refund/default and which vehicle the repo man *) goes after?

Sorry for the dumb questions, but I can't figure out which one of us is more clueless (or pretends to be). ;-P

Why, it's me or Dirk of course! We'll roll dice.

Or if we're having a good stint, I'll refund one and Dirk goes after the other Tesla.
